What Features Should I Look For?

Vibrators come with lots of different features, some more useful than others – Let’s have a look at some of the features that the pink vibrators have that we sell here on The Pink Dildo:

• Vibration patterns – A large selection of vibration patterns, speeds, and intensities can be the difference between getting an amazing orgasm and failing to get there. A decent vibrator should have at least 3 patterns and 2-speed settings as the bare minimum.
• Remote control – There are 2 ways to remote control a vibrator; a wireless physical remote control or a wired battery box controller. I’m not a big fan of wires, especially during sexual play. You don’t need a remote for any of the solo play pink vibrators but it makes a lot of sense to have it on the strapless strap-on vibrators. I would highly recommend the remote-controlled Urge strapless strap-on if you’re after a vibrating strapless strap-on.
• Rotating shaft – A rotating shaft is a great way to stimulate your vagina entrance and it adds a whole new level of stimulation. It does however increase the noise level and battery usage in your vibrator. I see this as nice to have but not necessary. I recommend the Pink Jack Rabbit Rotating vibrator if you’re after a nice entrance massage.
• Thrusting – Automatic thrusting is a premium feature that adds lots of complexity to any dildo/vibrator and the thrusting motion is quite limited to around 1 inch of total thrusting.
• Clitoris vibrator – The most popular design is the rabbit vibrator which has a clitoris vibrator on the shaft that looks like a set of rabbit ears. This is by far the most popular feature of any vibrator and it’s on 90% of all sold vibrators.

• Strapless-strap-on – This is a great way to pleasure each other and most products in this category have vibrators on both ends. The Evoke Super Charged strapless strap-on is a great option.

Rechargeable or Batteries?

It used to be common for vibrators to have an external battery pack but new technologies have made it much easier to include the battery in the vibrator itself. This eliminates wires hanging off your vibrator and it makes it easier to make it waterproof.

It’s however not possible to change an internal battery without causing too much damage to the vibrator, so a broken battery is equal to a broken vibrator. This is, fortunately, a rare occurrence.

I would personally recommend rechargeable pink vibrators as their advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Always Use Water-Based Lube

A healthy amount of water-based lube on the vibrator is the key to a good experience. Even vibrators that don’t penetrate you need lube, it helps transfer the vibration from the surface of the toy to your body.

We only stock water-based lubrication products here at The Pink Dildo, but be careful if you already own an oil or silicone-based lube. Both oil and silicone lube can damage the surface of your vibrator so stay away from using it.

Keeping Your Vibrator Clean

Use tap water and a mild soap or sex toy cleaner to clean your vibrator. Read the instructions for the Vibrator you’re going to clean. Most vibrators are submergible which makes them easy to clean but some are just splash proof which requires a bit more care when cleaning.

Dry your vibrator completely before storing it away, small pockets of water are enough for bacteria or mold to grow.
